What to expect at Zion
Welcome to Zion Lutheran Church’s website! We hope that you will visit us in person, whether you’re a life long Lutheran, looking to find out more about Lutherans, or just curious about Christianity in general.
What will you find when you visit Zion? You will find reverent worship (punctuated, of course, by the occasional voice of the children, whom we welcome with open arms) centered on Christ and His gifts earned on the cross and given out in His Word and His Sacraments.
The proclamation of the Gospel and the celebration of Holy Communion are thus the very heart and soul of our worship.
English Worship 9:30 am
When you visit Zion you will find our hymnal, the Lutheran Service Book, in the pew which contains the hymns and order of service that we use.
In addition, you will receive a worship bulletin that will serve as your guide during the Divine Service. The prayer, the psalm, and the readings
of the day are in the bulletin as well as an outline of the service with page numbers.
Nuer Worship 12:00 pm
Zion Lutheran Church also holds Lutheran Services for our members who are from Sudan Africa. It is in their native language of Nuer and utilizes traditional hymns
and traditional African drums for music.
You will find a worship bulletin printed with the order of service and the Bible readings in Nuer. For English Speakers attending this service, interpretors and
English bulletins are available.
No matter which language you worship in...
...you will find an opportunity to meet others who share similar interests, whether you are married or single, retired or just starting out on your own.
The best way to learn about Zion is to visit us on a Sunday morning. When you do, please introduce yourself to our pastor. Before the Service and at the conclusion
of the service you will find Pastor Brandt Hoffman at the entrance to the church. He, and others, will be happy to talk with you more about Zion and how to learn more about the Christian faith and the Lutheran church.

In worship we know that we are not trying to please God or win His favor. Rather we gather to receive the good gifts from Him in Word and Sacrament.
We hold midweek services during Advent and Lent and during other church festivals.
We use a variety of robust services found in the Lutheran Service Book.
We hold faithfully to the guidelines of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as witnessed in the historic Church.
Zion Lutheran Church: Is a family:
Being a part of this congregation means you always have brothers and sisters in the faith to rejoice with in times of happiness and to be there for you in times of need.
Zion Lutheran Church: Is Christ's Church!
We know that a Church is not just a gathering of like-minded people but rather it is the work of the Holy Spirit who calls, gathers and enlightens His people on earth. We thank God every day for those whom He has blessed this fellowship with.
