Zion Lutheran Church: Is a worshipping Church:
- In worship we know that we are not trying to please God or win His favor. Rather we gather to receive the good gifts from Him in Word and Sacrament.
- We hold midweek services during Advent and Lent and during other church festivals.
- We use a variety of robust services found in the Lutheran Service Book.
- We hold faithfully to the guidelines of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as witnessed in the historic Church.
Zion Lutheran Church: Is a family:
- Being a part of this congregation means you always have brothers and sisters in the faith to rejoice with in times of happiness and to be there for you in times of need.
Zion Lutheran Church: Is Christ's Church!
- We know that a Church is not just a gathering of like-minded people but rather it is the work of the Holy Spirit who calls, gathers and enlightens His people on earth.
We thank God every day for those whom He has blessed this fellowship with.
Zion Lutheran Church: Is a ministry of the Lutheran Church ~ Missouri Synod. To say this means we joyfully hold to the historic truths of the Christian Church:
- Sola Fide (Faith Alone): We believe, teach and confess that we are saved through Faith Alone in the saving work of Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
- Sola Gratia (Grace Alone): We believe, teach and confess that the saving faith we have in Jesus Christ is a gift of Grace and a work of God and not man.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Corinthians 12:3, John 6:29, John 6:65)
- Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): We believe, teach and confess that the Scriptures are the only source for reading God's Holy Word (2 Timothy 3:16, John 5:39, John 7:38).
All doctrines of this Church are taken from Holy Scriptures. This is best exemplified by the Book of Concord, a series of writings that interpret the Scriptures on
several topics. We hold faithfully that these interpretations as a true understanding of God's unchanging Word.
